Nallammai Ramanathan Guest House ("NR Guest House", "we", "us"), a unit of Chennai Vaazh Pulankurichi Nagarathar Trust, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use nrguesthouse.in or book a room or our function hall, and how we use and protect it.

1Information We Collect

When you book a room or the hall, or contact us, we collect:

• Contact details — your full name, mobile number, email address (optional) and address (optional).
• Identity proof — the government ID type you choose (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Driving Licence or Voter ID) and the photo of the ID you upload. This is required for room bookings and optional for hall bookings.
• Booking details — check-in and check-out dates, number of rooms, adults and children, extra persons, and the hall date and session.
• Payment details — the payment method, UPI reference number and the payment screenshot you upload. We do not collect or store your card numbers, bank account numbers or UPI PIN.
• Stay records — check-in and check-out times, restaurant orders, other charges and invoices linked to your booking.
• Enquiries — the name, phone, email and message you send through our Contact page.

2How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your room or hall booking and assign your room(s).
• To verify your payment and confirm, update or cancel your booking.
• To verify your identity at check-in and keep the guest records required by law.
• To send booking updates on WhatsApp / SMS — for example payment received, payment confirmed, payment rejected (with the reason) and booking cancelled (with the reason).
• To prepare your invoice and settle charges at check-out.
• To answer your enquiries and improve our services.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

3Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only:

• with the service provider we use to send WhatsApp / SMS booking messages, only to deliver those messages;
• with banks / payment providers, only as needed to verify a payment;
• with government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law.

4Data Security & Retention

Your details and uploaded documents are stored on secured servers. Only authorised staff (our admin and front-desk managers) can see them, through a password-protected system. We keep booking and ID records only for as long as needed for our records and legal requirements, and then delete them. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no online system is completely secure.

5Cookies

Our website uses only essential cookies needed to keep your booking session working (for example, while you move from the booking page to the payment page). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6Your Choices

You may ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. Some records (such as invoices and guest registers) may need to be kept for legal reasons.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with the date it was last updated.
